Final Exam- Reflection Portion
1. I chose the life goals/ambitions theme for my final exam project. I chose it because my life goal is to be a skin care/make up artist. It's an ambition of mine as well. I chose that theme because, well make up is everything to me. I love everything about it. You told us at the beginning of this class theres all kinds of different arts, well make up is mine. Faces are my canvases. I express myself through make up. I also chose this theme because it is the most important thing in my life right now. I'll be starting beauty school in the fall and hope to make a career out of it after all my training.
2. Regarding my favorite project:
I actually really loved painting the apple and adding all the detail/colors. I liked the program a lot because you had full control over it. Some of our other programs we used for other things would be tweaky and do things you didn't tell it to do. I had no problems with the program we used for the apple. Everything came out so smoothly and nice looking, I really liked as you zoomed in more the more detail you could get from the color. I could have added more detail, mine was by no means perfect. I could have added more detail and evened the colors out a bit more. I had fun doing the project though. With playing with the program and all the colors.
3. My least favorite project was pop art. Which is odd I know, because it was actually the most diverse project we had actually. We had all the control on what was in it and how it looked, everything. I didn't like it as much because it was done in photoshop. Photoshop is my least favorite program. All the tools confuse me, and then I get overwhelmed when multiple layers get involved. I could have done SO much better on my pop art then I actually did. I got frustrated and confused and a huge part of me just gave up, sad to say. The weird part about me disliking photo shop so much is that its the program I'm really focusing on for my final exam project. It's the best program to use for what I wanna do, I know my project won't be spectacular. I'm going to try my best though.
